The mission of the Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau is to actively market, advertise and promote to the public the full range of destination assets for recreational, cultural, environmental, business and visitor travel that are available in Monterey County, and thereby enhance and promote the travel and tourism industry of Monterey County. Additionally, the Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau shall consolidate tourism services within the county in order to avoid duplication and cost. The Corporation is specifically prohibited from engaging in political activities including partisan politics, endorsement of candidates for public office and attempting to influence the outcome of a vote of an elected body or a public ballot issue.
