There are two options in which to participate: monthly eNewsletter or monthly eSpecials...

E-Newsletter Blast (Database=28,000)

Be included in the MCCVB's monthly messaging to an opt-in database of over 26,000. With a tile ad in the eBlast, businesses can reach out to potential visitors who are planning their trips, learning about the destination and dreaming of their next trip to Monterey County. This opportunity is provided on a space-available basis.

  • Itinerary for a weekend trip focused on a destination or theme
  • Budget travel options based around a destination or theme
  • "Ask a Local" Videos

Interesting Statistics from a Past eBlast Survey: 

  • 50% of those who responded to the survey had visited the destination in the last six months.
  • 97% said they found it useful, especially to learn about events and attractions.
  • 67% said they share the newsletter.
  • Respondents were mostly women over 45, from the San Francisco Bay Area or Central California. 23% visited with family, and 68% had visited the aquarium on their last trip.

E-Specials Blast (Database = 9,000)

The MCCVB has a separate email database of those who specifically requested to receive information on special offers and discounts. A monthly email is distributed to this list. Offers are uploaded onto a website by MCCVB; and this program is exclusively available for accommodations partners. In March, a similar attractions/events/restaurants email will be developed.
