MCCVB Director of Sales Kathryn Carlton joined planners, vendors and industry professionals for the Meeting Professionals International World Education Conference in Miami, July 10-13. On Aug. 31, the bureau will partner with the Sacramento CVB to host an event for Collette Vacation's west coast sales team. Collette is the top revenue-producing domestic tour operator in the U.S. From there, it's on to Washington D.C. for the Affordable Meetings National Tradeshow, Sept. 7-8; the following week, top Bay Area meeting planners are invited to a September 15 Monterey County "Speed Planning" event in San Francisco.
Monterey County is also among three destinations on the short list to host the 2007 Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) conference, and MCCVB representatives will travel to Chicago to meet with decision makers on Sept. 25. The conference is expected to draw 350-500 of planners from 82 countries, representing the world's top corporations and exeuctives.
