No visit to the area would be complete without a trip to the renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium, fast becoming the world's premiere marine life research facility. Your guests will receive a privately guided tour by one of the aquarium's knowledgeable docents. Get ready to interact with some of Monterey Bay's most exotic creatures. You'll experience the "Bat Ray Banquet"—even adults will laugh with childish delight as they feed and pet these gentle members of the shark family. Your group will be thrilled to view some of the Pacific Ocean's most elusive creatures on display in more than a hundred delicately strange and exotic jewel-box exhibits and galleries. The giant sea kelp tank and the new and dramatic Outer Bay wing are simply mesmerizing.

You'll still be buzzing about the aquarium as we head outdoors to stroll along the colorful Cannery Row, immortalized by Nobel Prize winning author John Steinbeck. Our professional guide will answer questions and provide commentary bout the history and culture of Cannery Row, past and present, as your group absorbs the sights and sounds of the shops and restaurants. An optional private luncheon at once of Monterey Bay's many fine establishments may be arranged upon request.

Writer and naturalist Jerry Emory unlocks the natural and human history secrets of the magical Monterey coast during his 45-minute beautiful audio-visual presentation based on his recent book The Monterey Bay Shoreline Guide. Emory explored the entire Monterey Bay shorelineover 120 miles from Point Ano Nuevo to Point Surby foot or on bicycle to research the Guide. Jerry loves to talk about Monterey Bay's drama, beauty, and history. His presentation covers in part: both popular and little-known spots to visit (including the Monterey Bay Aquarium); the best tide pools, beaches, dunes and parks to visit and why; the best places and time of year to see marine mammals; the area's rich history including the Coastal Indians, European explorers, Spanish missionaries, and Mexican rancheros; great bird watching spots; the unusual geology of Monterey Bay, as well as why there's seasonal fog here but no tsunamis.
