Monterey County wine is a celebration in itself, and deserves all the attention it receives. That's why every year, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the best of Monterey County at a number of time-honored wine events.
March: The Pebble Beach Food & Wine celebration was a hit during its first year of fantastic food and wine tastings and receptions in 2008. The three day event, with celebrity chefs in a fantastic location, will again take place in 2009.
April: The Pinnacles Wine Festival invites food and wine lovers to enjoy a special event in the heart of the Chalone AVA. Showcasng the finest in wine and culinary experiences, this event features wine and food pairings, with food provided by local five-star restaurants. Don't miss this opportunity to mingle with Monterey County winemakers and chefs.
May: The Paraiso Vineyards Airshow is an intimate event in a spectacular location. Enjoy some of the best Monterey County food and wine while being wowed by airshow performances overhead.
June: Join artisans and local wineries in charming Carmel Valley Village for an afternoon of wine tasting, art, food and live music at the Carmel Valley Art and Wine Festival.
August: The Winemaker's Celebration in historic Custom House Plaza is a festive wine tasting event complete with food, music and demonstrations. Sample from more than 45 Monterey County wineries, see wine barrels being built, and enjoy the view of Monterey Bay.
October: Taste wines from over 50 producers, as well as chocolate, cheese, olives, and many other foods, at the Monterey Wine Festival.
November - The Great Wine Escape is annual adventure into Monterey County wine country with a series of events, winemakers' dinners and tours.
Year 'Round - Chateau Julien Wine Estate in Carmel Valley holds events throughout the year. Attend their World of Wine Series, Summer Jamboree, Harvest Wine Seminar, or Holiday Spectacular.
