Monterey County showcases speed and skill this September and October with three top air and track events.
The California International Airshow takes to the Salinas skies September 30-October 1, featuring F/A-18 Super Hornets, F-15 Eagles and showcopters. Vintage and contemporary aircraft, aviation booths and model planes are the buzz at the October 14 Marina Air Faire. And, on the ground, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca wraps up its 50th season with the Monterey Sports Car Championships, October 20-22. Event highlights include an afternoon-into-evening race with Le Mans prototypes and GT cars.
