In March of 2007, the Monterey Bay Aquarium opened Wild About Otters with an exhibit dedicated to our favorite furry friends. If you’re thinking it’s the same old otters that lounge about in our coastal sanctuary, think again. These are freshwater otters who naturally dwell in exotic regions of Asia and Africa. The five-gallery exhibition will display four African spotted-necked otters and four Asian small-clawed otters in exhibits that represent their native lake and river habitats.
