Ongoing Exhibitions

In addition to the fine permanent exhibitions in Monterey County's many museums and galleries, special, temporary exhibitions come and go. Some are found in unusual places—such as the remarkable mingling of art and ecology at the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Jellies: Living Art exhibit. Others are just where you would expect to find them—like the remarkable and historic photographs made by Californian photographers at the Monterey Museum of Art.

Delicately dancing their silent, drifting way through the world's oceans, jellies are both the stars and the inspiration for this intriguing exhibition that juxtaposes living creatures with modern and traditional works of art.
