A new restaurant and sports bar has taken wing at Quail Lodge�s new clubhouse as part of the resort�s recent $25-million enhancement program. Edgar�s, named for Edgar Haber, Quail Lodge�s celebrated founder, serves up savory California Eclectic cuisine in an elegant albeit relaxed setting that overlooks the resort�s championship golf course. Sports fans find Edgar�s especially appealing with its complete sports package that enables guests to check their scores simultaneously on 12 flat-screen TVs situated throughout the restaurant.
Whether it�s to fuel up for a day on the links, sip a cocktail, or sample the diverse menu designed by renowned culinary visionary Cal Stamenov, Edgar�s fare delivers � with a California twist. Seasonal dishes with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients, garden-grown herbs and organic produce delight diners. The simple meals draw on the region�s finest bounty and reflect the creative, hands-on techniques mastered by Quail Lodge�s executive chef, Jeff Rogers.
The ambience at Edgar�s is much like the Carmel Valley personality it pays homage to: warm, handsome, jovial and lively. Double French doors create a seamless entry, where guests can choose to dine indoors or al fresco on the patio overlooking the lush fairways. The highlights of the lounge are a unique hand-scraped pecan bar top and luxurious leather chairs. Exterior elements include an inviting outdoor fire pit, where guests can gather and unwind, as well as a heated patio for comfortable outdoor dining.
Edgar�s is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
