Since 1925, the Colonial Terrace Inn has provided gracious hospitality in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Our beautifully decorated rooms (freshly renovated in 2001), award winning gardens and residential location just steps from sparkling white Carmel Beach, provide a restful, rejuvenating haven from hectic lifestyles. From smaller guest rooms with a queen bed and fireplace to our spacious Captain's Corner Suite with an ocean view, fireplace and 2-person whirlpool tub, we offer the ideal get-a-way.
Our Family Suite accomodates up to 6 persons with a fireplace, two bathrooms, a kitchen with a circular dining area, balcony and white water ocean vistas.
Enjoy a tranquil walk about the property's landscaped gardens with colorful and unusual plants, paths and patios for your pleasure and follow up with a quick walk to the beach for a stunning sunset.
Each morning we provide a complimentary continental breakfast in the lobby with the opportunity of meeting other guests from around the world. We also provide trays for a "privacy" breakfast in your room, or you may choose to enjoy breakfast on one of our patios, sampling Carmel's superb gentle climate for an "al fresco" wake-up!
Ours is a
non-smoking inn and each room offers a television, coffee maker with a selection of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, and most have a
refrigerator. No two rooms are alike, many feature ocean views and nearly all have a fireplace.
