Bernardus Lodge is located near Carmel Valley Village in sunny Carmel Valley, a sublime pastoral river valley nestled into the rolling Santa Lucia mountain range inland of Carmel-by-the-Sea on the Monterey Peninsula. The Lodge is approximately 120 miles south of San Francisco and 330 miles north of Los Angeles
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Bernardus Lodge has 57 sumptuous guestrooms that range in size from 525 to 1,875 square feet. Guestrooms have limestone fireplaces and French doors that open onto spacious patios or balconies, affording guests sweeping mountain or garden views.

WINE AND DINE:
Marinus at Bernardus Lodge features California - contemporary cuisine, created by celebrated chef Cal Stamenov, featuring local organic, seasonal produce as well as regional seafood and artisan farmed meats. Guests enjoy magnificent garden and mountain views as they dine either in the restaurant or on the outdoor terrace.
Marinus received Wine Spectator magazine�s �Grand Award� in 2001 for its wine cellar, an honor bestowed every three years. The cellar houses 1,455 different wines and a total of more than 28,000 premium bottles, including 10,000 bottles from the Bernardus Winery & Vineyard near the resort.

Wickets Bistro is an informal venue, perfect for a light meal, outdoor beverage or a lingering lunch or brunch. Guests can dine indoors or outdoors by an open stone fireplace under an expansive trellis surrounding the resort�s manicured croquet lawn.
It�s open daily for breakfast (7 a.m.-11 a.m.), lunch (11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.) and dinner (6 p.m.-10 p.m.). A full bar is open nightly and features live jazz on selected evenings.
SPA AND FITNESS:
The Spa at Bernardus Lodge is a 5,300-square-foot, full-service facility with eight state-of-the-art treatment rooms. These include a room specially designed for couples and a �warming room,� where guests can sip herbal tea by an indoor fireplace while waiting for their treatments. There are men�s and women�s locker rooms with steam and sauna facilities. The spa also has an exercise room, a meditation garden, an open-air warming pool, and a full-service beauty salon.
The spa and salon are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday. Some spa services are available in-room. The exercise room is open 24 hours a day.
RECREATION:
Bernardus Lodge has two tennis courts, a croquet lawn, bocce court, and an outdoor heated lap-length swimming pool.
