9 County Parks are sprinkled from the northern county line to the southern county line. All of the parks feature BBQ facilities and picnic areas for groups and individuals. RV and tent camping are available at Laguna Seca, San Lorenzo, Lake San Antonio North Shore and South Shore and Lake Nacimiento. Most of the parks offer sports areas, playgrounds and hiking trails. Special features of the individual parks include:
Royal Oaks Park, Prunedale - tennis courts, youth group camping.
Manzanita Park, Prunedale - sports venue operated by North Monterey County Youth Association.
Jack�s Peak Park, Monterey - breathtaking view of Monterey Bay.
Laguna Seca Recreation Area, Monterey/Salinas - Mazda Raceway, Skip Barber Racing School, Rifle & Pistol Range. Laguna Seca hosts Sea Otter Classic, Spirit West Coast, 24 Hours of Adrenalin, Cherry�s Jubilee and the Monterey Pop Festival.
Toro Park, Salinas/Monterey - youth group camping, Environmental Center. Toro hosts the Scottish Games & Celtic Festival.
San Lorenzo Park, King City - Agriculture & Rural Life Museum, History of Irrigation Museum.
Lake San Antonio and Lake Nacimiento, South County � water sports, fishing, marinas, shoreline camping at North Shore. South Shore hosts the Wildflower Triathalon.
