The only major seaside amusement park on the West Coast combines an mile-long beach, cool rides, nostalgic charm and high tech attractions. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a California historic landmark and features 35 rides, including two National historic Landmarks: a classic 1911 Looff carousel and the 1924 Giant Dipper roller coaster. The Boardwalk also offers games, restaurants, shops, and free summer concerts. Rides are open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day and weekends and most holidays throughout the year; closed during December.
For year-round fun, the Casino Fun Center and Neptune's Kingdom Adventure Center are open daily, with the exception of Christmas Day. The Casino Fun Center features classic and new video and pinball games, virtual reality computer games, and the Sector 7 Laser Tag Arena. Neptune's Kingdome houses a two-story miniature golf course, game deck and arcade, restaurant, and historical displays.
Next to the Boardwalk are the historic Cocoanut Grove Banquet and Conference Facilities. Conferences, trade shows, dances, private parties, wedding receptions, and meeting rooms are available.
Just across the street from the amusement park, is the newly renovated Boardwalk Bowl at 115 Cliff Street, a state-of-the-art bowling and entertainment center.
To visit the Boardwalk and its many special attractions, take Highway 1 or 17 to Santa Cruz and follow the signs to the beach/Boardwalk.
