Nestled on the picturesque Monterey Peninsula along the rugged Pacific Coast is a quaint factory known as �The Chocolate Factory.� This is where the kitchens of Monterey Bay Chocolates have created over 100 chocolate confections of unique characteristics and where Verne Ricketts, the company founder, still enjoys tinkering with new confectionery delights.
For almost 20 years his Monterey Bay Chocolates have been carefully hand-made with the finest ingredients, natural flavorings, and the original Ricketts caramel recipe and are enjoyed by people in many parts of the world. Choose from a full line of butter creams, dairy-cream caramels, select nut clusters, creamy ganache squares, specialty chocolates, sugar-free selections, and beautiful gift boxes and baskets of various sizes can be customized for one and all.
Stop by for a visit and delight at the many chocolate offerings at our unique 40-foot �Chocolate Buffet,� enjoy a few samples, and make your own selections to take home with you. And if you�re lucky you can meet Verne Ricketts himself and take a peek in the back to see what delectables are being made.
Located at 1291 Fremont Boulevard in Seaside, California, our retail store is open Monday thru Saturday from 10:00am - 6:00pm. Personal tours are given Monday through Friday from 10AM to 3PM. We are closed on Sundays except for when hours are extended during the holidays.
