4th Annual Monterey Bay School of Piping and Drumming

Presented by the National Piping Centre, based in Glasgow, Scotland, in association with Monterey Celtic Arts Academy (MCAA), this school attracts novice and advanced bagpipers and Scottish drummers from around the United States. It will again feature some of the world's finest piping and drumming instructors, including the award-winning Roddy MacLeod, MBE (Executive Director of the National Piping Centre since 1996) and an outstanding team of piping and drumming instructors.

This exciting week kicks off with the 4th Annual Monterey Bay School of Piping and Drumming at Stevenson School. This is to be followed by the Caber Parade on June 29th, featuring Scottish dancers, bagpipers and drummers on Carmel�s Ocean Avenue. The week continues with a Pub Night on July 2nd at the Mucky Duck, Celtic Concert at RLS on July 3rd, and the 41st Annual Monterey Scottish Games and Celtic Festival held at the pastoral Monterey County Toro Park. The festival will feature a wide variety of Scottish and Irish musicians, massed pipe bands on parade, Scottish and Highland dancers, British food and crafts, thrilling athletic events and much, much more.
