If you're out kayaking off Cannery Row or in Elkhorn Slough on a summer weekend (Fri-Sun, 9am-4pm), look for the distinctive red and blue kayaks of the National Marine Sanctuary's 40 volunteers. These on-the-water educators are there to teach visitors about the marine creatures they may encounter, and how to watch them safely.
